To the Community of Morrison, IL,

Grace and Peace to you. My name is Reverend Rich Davis, and beginning August 18th I will start my tenure as Senior
Pastor of Emmanuel Reformed Church at 202 East Morrison Street. My family and I are thrilled for this wonderful opportunity
and look forward to sharing community life serving the Morrison Community through the many ministries of Emmanuel
Reformed Church.
A little about myself. I grew up in Northeastern Illinois in the town of Winthrop Harbor, nestled on the shore of Lake
Michigan and the Illinois/Wisconsin Border. I attended high school at Zion Benton and graduated in 1997. I completed my
undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin in 2001 receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education with a
concentration in Sociology. In 2001 I married the love of my wife, Shauna. Two months later, we moved to Holland Michigan
and began graduate theological studies at Western Theological Seminary, which I completed in 2004. Since then, my career path
has been serving Christian churches with excitement, enthusiasm, and joy. I began my ministry at Martin Reformed Church, a
wonderfully loving congregation in West Michigan about 25 miles south of Grand Rapids. In 2007, my family and I moved to a
more urban setting right outside of Chicago. Since 2007 I have been serving as the Head Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of
River Forest, IL. The combination of caring people coupled with the hectic pace of city life has taught me many lessons in life.
My wife and I are very excited to settle down and raise our children in a warm and inviting community like Morrison. My
wife Shauna is currently a stay at home mom and we have three wonderful (I admit I am biased!) children, our son Tyler is 10
going into 5th grade, our daughter Kamryn is 8 and going into third grade, and our youngest son Nathan is 5 and beginning
kindergarten. As a family we enjoy going for walks, playing at the park, riding bikes, and the simple joys of spending time in the
backyard. We are truly excited about settling down and sharing life with the people of Emmanuel Reformed Church the
community of Morrison.
