Young & Energetic At Heart
Senior Ministries is offered through an active “Young and Energetic at Heart” (YEAH) group
which meets monthly for fun activities, as well as four day trips each year.
Please sign up with Rich for any of these trips. Please only sign up if you are definitely planning on going. Please do
not simply sign up to “save a spot” should you decide to go! No deposit is requested at time of sign-up, however
payment in full is requested 30 days in advance.
Enjoy two uplifting movies with a pizza buffet in between.
Movies to be announced closer to the time, but they will be selected to be encouraging and uplifting.

Thursday, February 16 11:30 a.m. Beat the Winter Yuck potluck & fun day!!
Come and beat the winter doldrums’ as we enjoy a great potluck meal together and visit and fellowship.
After the meal, play some cards, shoot a game of pool, toss the bags or just visit.
Table service and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish or two to pass.

Trip to Shipshewana, Indiana!
This fun trip will take us into the heart of Amish country as we are immersed in the lifestyle of simplicity, horse and buggies and wonderful cooking! Staying all four
nights at the beautiful “Blue Gate Garden Inn” provides a wonderful hot breakfast each morning and incredible food at local restaurants and Amish homes. Time for
fellowship around the fire pit and fountains, card playing in the common areas and relaxation will be included. Wander on your own at the huge “Flea Market” held
each week, featuring Amish made furniture, crafts, food as well as home-grown produce. See livestock being auctioned as well. Theatre performance, fabulous
shoppes, bulk grocery stores, woodworkers, and beautiful floral quilt gardens are included in this trip. On our way home on Friday, we will stop at Fair Oaks Farm,

Veteran’s Day Celebration at the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate, Joliet, IL
Celebrate a Veteran’s Day tribute as the “Ladies for Liberty” take you back in time! This singing troupe is dedicated to performing the Andrews Sisters style of music
through their own renditions of vocals, costumes, hairstyles and the spirit of patriotism reminiscent of the 1940’s. Remember “Boogie, Woogie Bugle Boy” and
“Shoo Shoo Baby?” These are just a few melodies sure to bring back old memories for some and establish new ones for all! While there, you will be able to guide
yourself through the 40-room Victorian mansion, built in 1873. After the show as you head back to the motor coach, visit the Old Central Church, completely
remodeled and painstakingly kept is much of its original condition, from the hand carved stained pillars to the massive domed ceiling and the working pipe organ.

At time of this being printed, we are not sure what the Christmas show will be for Circa 21 for 2017…but we know it will be great and we look forward to going. A
